Cristina Karrer
Cristina Karrer was born in 1960 in Zurich. From 1980 to 1989 she studied geography and social history at the University of Zurich. She directed a variery of documentaries on Tadjikistan, Kirgistan, Yemen and Aserbeidschan and in 1991 received the Zurich Journalist Prize for her outstanding work. Today, Karrer lives in Johannesburg, where she works for the Swiss television as an independent correspondant for Africa.

Werner Schweizer
Born in Luzern in 1955, Werner Schweizer went to school in Solothurn, Bern and Schwyz. At the university of Zurich, he studied sociology, journalism, and European folk literature. Graduated as Lic. phil. I.
He is the co-author of «Leben im Widerspruch – Amalie und Theo Pinkus» («Life in Opposition – Amalie and Theo Pinkus»), which was published 1987 by Limmat Publishing Company, Zurich. In 1976 he co-founded the filmmakers cooperative Videoladen. Later, they founded DSCHOINT VENTSCHR FILMPRODUKTION AG, a company which he co-owns.
Werner Schweizer is a graduate of EAVE (European Post Graduate Certificate in Audiovisual Production), 1990, and was the resident producer at the «atelier zerodeux», 2001-2003; a documenty workshop for young fimstudents at the EXPO 02.
